Locality

Visnjan is a place tied with stars, famous for an astronomical observatory.Visnjan is located only 12 km east from Porec. Porec is almost 2,000 years old town, known for the the 6th-century Euphrasian Basilica, which in 1997 was designated a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

If you go to the northern part of Istria, you have to visit Motovun, only 15km from Visnjan. It is the most famous Istrian medieval town situated on the hill and from 1278. was taken over by Venice and surrounded by walls which are today used as walkaway with breathtaking view over the four corners of Istria.
